Renee Hayden

More about Renee

Renee Hayden is an experienced senior Executive, with an extensive history working with management and executive teams and Boards, overseeing governance, operational and strategic matters.

Renee has extensive experience working within primary care, from Divisions of General Practice, Medicare Locals and within the establishment and program modelling of primary health networks. Renee is well grounded in the future of primary health networks, their expected KPIs and the reform they are currently embarking upon to bring about system change and positive health outcomes to targeted communities. Understanding stepped care, integrated care and efficient and effective service design and implementation, Renee designs programs to ensure they reflect the needs of those at most need. Her experience and in depth knowledge of primary mental health programs enables her to provide robust and innovative consultancy and project management for a variety of mental health providers and organisations.

Renee has expertise and qualifications in education and training, including RACGP QI&CPD accreditation, and provides tailored capacity building by designing programs which reflect the educational needs of the organisation and staff. In addition, as a supervisor and coach, Renee provides 1:1 and group supervision and leadership. Renee is also a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse & Family Therapist with a 26 year career path within mental health, alcohol & other drug, primary care and general practice settings. 

Donal McGoldrick

Donal McGoldrick is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with over 17 years’ experience including senior Mental Health Nurse and management roles in addiction, clinical mental health, forensics and community mental health. He has worked at a senior management level within the Department of Health and Human Services and at a CEO and Board level with specialist Statewide services and NGO's.

Working for VICSERV, the peak body representing community managed mental health services in Victoria, Donal was the Victorian Statewide Project Manger for a national mental health project. He is the co-founder and Director of Kambiri Health Australia, a boutique, mental health consultancy service, whose clients include State Government Departments, NGO's, the corporate private sector and numerous peak bodies, including the AFL Players Association.

Donal has applied his experience of business operations, as well as business and clinical governance to his role as APMH Alliance, Director. He maintains a strong interest and oversight in workforce planning and organisational change

Jennifer Craggs

Jennifer is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with extensive experience across a wide range of mental health areas. She has worked in senior clinical positions in adult, child and adolescent, aged and indigenous mental health in public, private and indigenous health settings.

In 2015 Jennifer became a foundation Director of the Australian Primary Mental Health Alliance. In her role as Director, Clinical Services and Workforce Support she has been involved in the implementation of cutting edge approaches in recruitment, credential auditing, supervision, support and mentoring of a national workforce.

Jennifer is currently focused on utilising the emerging technology in providing information, education and mentoring to clinicians, that will enable them to keep pace with the rapidly changing   environment of Primary Mental Health and Disability Services across Australia. Jennifer is a Master Trainer for Mental Health First Aid, and she is excited to be delivering the new Older Persons package to the aged care sector.

Tung Le

A Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and Cultural Consultant, Tung has over 20 years of experience in mental health and the alcohol or other drugs sector across a diverse range of settings. Prior to commencing his role as a private consultant and Director of APMH Alliance, Tung worked as a Senior Mental Health Nurse and consultant holding a number of management, project management and service development roles across the public and private sectors. Past experience includes: Comorbidity Consultant on National Comorbidity Initiatives, Health industry workforce development and managing/facilitating care of Complex Clients and their significant others.

Tung has an extensive career in private practice and has continued to apply his expertise and passion to all aspects of work relating to clients with co-morbid drug and alcohol and mental health issues. 

He has worked as a cultural consultant to State and Federal Government Departments and, more recently, has provided consultancy services to industry based member associations, legal services and community organisations.  Tung is currently a member of the Clinical Council to a Victorian PHN.

Fluent in both Vietnamese and English and with a strong, on-going interest in working with the Vietnamese and culturally diverse communities, Tung brings with him energy and professionalism to all aspects of his work as a Director.

Zac Williams

Zac has a background in small business management and finance. He has successfully run his own coffee business since finishing secondary school. Zac is one of the original founding staff members and has continued to expand his knowledge and skills in financial administration. Zac administers all contract payments, staff payroll and financial bookeeping. Zac is supported by the APMHA Company Accountant.

Sharyn Amos

Sharyn is the Clinical Lead for APMHA. She comes with a wealth of experience as a registered nurse and specialist nurse in the fields of drug and alcohol and mental health. 

She is a mental health and drug and alcohol educator, providing training to a multitude of professionals such as General Practitioners, Practice nurses, families and clients.  

Sharyn has worked in rural, remote and metropolitan settings within Australia and over 20+ years working with Aboriginal communities within Victoria and Northern Territory.   

Sharyn has held positions on numerous reference committees that have shaped the delivery of AOD/MH.  Sharyn has been a contributing  author for "Tears of Hope"a guide for Carers of a person with a substance acquired brain injury".

Monique Ataryniw

More about Monique

Monique has a background in education, welfare and IT. In her past roles, Monique has supported the implementation of differentiated learning programs in Brisbane and Melbourne schools and has volunteered to deliver in community respite programs and adult English classes.

Monique is one of the original founding staff members with APMHA and has grown with the organisation’s focus. Embracing mental health, she is now a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and coordinates our education education and training needs.

Charles Mahagodage

Charles joined APMHA in September 2018 as the company accountant. Charles is a Certified Practising Accountant together with Batchelor of Accounting. Charles has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management both in the profit and non profit sectors. He brings significant depth of financial knowledge and skills to the organisation ensuring robust financial oversight together with the executive team.

Working with innovative and passionate people is one of the reasons why Charles chose to be part of the APMHA family.

Thomas Henderson

Thomas has recently graduated from University with a Bachelor of Business. Just starting in his career, Thomas hopes to cement and consolidate the learnings from his degree. As Administration Coordinator, Thomas provides support to the Senior Staff and Executives, assisting in daily office needs and managing APMHA’s general administrative activities.

As our newest and youngest member, Thomas aims to bring passion and enthusiasm to the role.

Rebecca May

More about Rebecca

Rebecca has eighteen years experience leading mental health and alcohol and other drug projects for community organisations, the Victorian Department of Health's Mental Health, Drugs and Regions Division and Victoria Police. She has a strong understanding of government policy, processes and funding mechanisms through developing departmental service specifications and service plans for the mother-baby mental health units, the new rural mother-baby mental health units and the mother-baby alcohol and drug withdrawal unit while with the Department of Health.

As consultant and executive manager in the primary care sector, Rebecca has delivered projects for primary health networks, community health services, general practices, Aboriginal community controlled health organisations, rural and metropolitan health and hospital services, alcohol and other drug treatment services, mental health services, rural health workforce agencies and primary care partnerships. These projects have included program and service re-design, establishment and evaluations, regional service system reviews, plans and recommissioning processes, needs assessments, community consultations, benchmarking and feasibility studies.

Helen Thomopoulos

Helen has an Associate Diploma Business Studies (Accounting) and started her career as assistant accountant/bookkeeper and a Personal Assistant for a property developer and then held various office administration roles for approximately 10 years. 

Feeling unrewarded in these positions she chose to change career to a much more meaningful occupation and studied Diploma in Community Welfare and since then has work with children at risk, women’s refuges, Vision Australia, Victims Assistance and Counselling Program, Alcohol and Other Drug team and more recently for MacKillop Family Services

Helen is passionate about social justice and working with vulnerable communities. Helen is the newest member of APMHA's intake and triage team.
